Event Management Overview

There are 3 commands in Event Management.

Event_Copy

Event_Modify

Event_Delete

As of Version 5.0 these commands are relatively complex.

Each command allows multiple events to be specified. The command parameters are different, but the method for adding several of the parameters in the top half of the dialog are similar.

The Top part of the Event_Copy dialog is displayed here:

This dialog can be a little tricky, so it is important to understand the rules.

Add an Event, New Event and Frame Offset

Populate the combo box.

If there are events in the Visual3D workspace, the edit box will be populated with the Events in the workpsace.

If there are no events, or you want to add an event that is not on the list, type into the Combo Box.

Populate the New Event Label Name and Frame Offset values.

Select Add will add these entries into the list box.

Only items in the list box will be added to the pipeline command when you exit.

Modify an Event

Selecting an element in the multi-column list box, populates the combo and edit boxes.

Modify the three parameters then select the MODIFY button.

Delete an Event

Selecting an element in the multi-column list box, populates the combo and edit boxes.

Select the DELETE button.

Ranges and Instances

The following section of the dialog are common to all 3 commands

Event Sequence

This section allow the user to select an Event Sequence which determines which ranges of frames are considered.

Range Instance

The user has the option to select specific ranges from the valid ranges. An exclude sequence will eliminate the selected ranges that contain this sequence.

Event Instance

The user has the option to select specific events within the specific ranges.
