Visual3D Professional™ and Visual3D Basic/RT™ Comparison
Visual3D Basic/RT™ includes all the standard signal processing, modeling, reporting, visualization, and historical data tracking features, but also includes the following as standard features:
- Real-time Data Streaming and Data Capture – If your motion capture system supports the streaming of real-time data, then you can stream that data directly into Visual3D. From Visual3D you can then view and capture of standing trials and movement trials in real time. One benefit is that you can see the data applied to a model in real-time and thus verify a meaningful data capture on the spot, rather than finding errors in post processing and having to redo (i.e. reschedule) a trial. (Supported systems include NDI, Vicon, Qualisys, MAC, Polhemus, Organic Motion, Phoenix, and CODA)
- Advanced Modeling Capabilities – Visual3D’s already sophisticated modeling abilities have been enhanced to provide ways of doing faster, accurate, and more flexible assessments.
- Functional Joint Center Calculations – By simply making small movements in the standing trial, Visual3D can see the moving tracking markers and very quickly calculate a joint center. This enables the use of fewer (or no) calibration markers.
- Digital Pointer Support – Visual3D will create virtual “Calibration Markers” using a digitizing pointer instead of placing markers in those tricky locations. With functional joints calculations to create the model, the pointer can be used to define a segment radius rather than using physical calibration markers. This can really help with overweight patients, and can vastly speed up the whole data capture process. The Davis Digitizing Pointer sold by C-Motion is spring-loaded to support automated landmark identification.
- Global Optimization – Allows for the recovery of questionable data by constraining joints and performing a frame by frame comparison to the calibration trial. This will effectively let you fit movement data to a generic model by modifying the model as a result of the optimization constraints.
- Create Normative Data For Reporting – Create a “normal” data set from multiple data sets to compare to current trials as an assessment and measurement aid. Within Visual3D you can load up multiple trials and select key signals, calculated values, metrics, events, thresholds, etc. to use as a baseline for a comparing against a specific data set.
Visual3D Professional™ includes all the features of Visual3D Basic/RT™ plus:
- Real-Time Biofeedback and Analysis – Processes, graph, and analyze data as well as collecting data in real-time. Create real-time moving charts, trigger events, and analysis. A real-time analysis pipeline is also available for use.
- CMO Cataloging – Data management enhancements to permit you to access all the data in all your CMO files (your trials, metrics, reports, parameters, etc) for use in more complex analysis, reporting, and developing application centric data stores.
- Induced Acceleration – Lets you determine which muscles are the source or contributing to lower body movement. Some forward dynamics are involved with this analysis.
