Visual3D
Visual3D is the most advanced biomechanical analysis and modeling software available for researchers and clinicians. The software is used to measure and quantify movement in 3D as collected by a 3D motion capture system.
Customers include university, commercial, and government researchers in rehabilitation, neuroscience, engineering, robotics, sports (performance tracking, injury prevention, equipment manufacture, exercise studies), orthopedics, prosthetics, animal studies, disability assessments, and much more…
If you already have a motion capture system, or access to motion capture data, Visual3D is the one product that will let you take full advantage of its capabilities by removing the limitations of predetermined marker sets, analysis rules, or other restrictions. It removes the need for custom software development, or trying to maintain and extend manufacturer functionality with third party products like Matlab.
Note: Visual3D is for research, not for video animation or game development. It does not handle 2D video image input data without first converting it to a 3D digital format.
Features
A sales brochure with all the features is available here. A price list is available here.
- Visual3D works with nearly all motion capture systems for kinematics and inverse dynamics (kinetics) analysis. It reads C3D files and supports real-time streaming.
- Supports synchronized analog data (force plates, EMG, EEG, load cells, gyros, MEMS, etc.) including the ability to define force structures for instrumented stairs, treadmills, ramps, and multi-force plate configurations.
- Export .mot files to OpenSim for forward dynamics modeling.
- No marker set limitations and support for classical gait models, 6DOF, inverse kinematics/global optimization, and custom hybrids.
